The Greatest and Greenest Romantic - a Picture Book

These images are taken from the first few spreads of children’s Picture book I have been developing. First written as a poem in the early days of my career, I have explored the story of a disillusioned troll poet and a small child’s attempts to rekindle its inspiration in many different mediums. This presents the story in its simplest, most innocent form, and I have taken inspiration from the experience of discovering picture books anew since the birth of my son in 2016.

Though the story has stayed with me for many years, I only feel now that I have developed my visual storytelling to do it justice. This extract is part of a full 30-page draft book that I have produced in 2018. I am currently exploring options for representation and publication, as it is a story close to my heart that I would love to share with the world.
